DESCRIPTION:Meeting Topic: Women in the Woods\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSpeaker: Pam Welisevich\, Naturalist\n\n \n\nPam Welisevich has been a naturalist for more than 20 years. She currently serves as Dodge's 5th grade science specialist at Heritage E-STEM Middle School\, a naturalist-in-residence program in partnership with School District 197. She is also the Animal Care Coordinator at Dodge\, managing the collection of animal ambassadors that help teach students   from preschoolers to senior citizens   about area wildlife from reptiles to raptors.\n\n\n\nPam developed the popular Women in the Woods series to help get women out into nature in a fun\, supportive setting. Participants are encouraged to try new things such as snowshoeing\, maple syruping\, night hiking and more. Often\, she helps dispel myths and overcome attendees' fears of the unknown\, like "Do bats really fly in your hair?"
