About Us

Since its inception in 1992, FiN has evolved into a cornerstone of support for individuals and families grappling with food insecurity. Over the years, our mission to provide essential food and resources to those in need has seen us through a number of changes both in location and scope. Each year, we work to expand the services we offer, partnering with other nonprofits to provide access to resources aimed at improving lives. As we celebrate a decade in our new home, we reflect on a remarkable journey marked by a staggering increase in client visits - from nearly 7,000 in 2016 to almost 15,000 today - highlighting the growing need for our services. Looking ahead to 2027, we are eager to celebrate 35 years of unwavering support to, and from, our community. Together we are making a meaningful difference in the lives of some of the estimated 540,000 Minnesotans* struggling with food insecurity.
